Biography & Practice Distinctions

Focusing on all aspects of wealth management, Kelsey Matchen helps families achieve their goals in both great and difficult times. Clients appreciate his ability to listen, meet them where they are, and offer solutions for their particular needs.

Kelsey regularly advises clients on matters related to sophisticated estate planning, tax-efficient wealth transfer through complex wills and trusts, post-death administration and title transfer, and succession planning for closely held businesses. He also has experience in corporate transactions and entity formations.

When he’s not assisting families in the office, Kelsey is busy with his own. He is privileged to raise four beautiful children alongside his ever-patient wife, Megan. Outside of work and family, Kelsey is an avid fan of all things Texas Tech, golf, tennis, bourbon and craft beer.

Before entering law school, Kelsey attended seminary at the Catholic University of America for five years and worked in religious and private education for another four years.
