Attorneys successfully appeal verdict

Chris Jensen, Marty Jones, Brantley Jones and Mark Erickson successfully appealed a $46,000,000 jury verdict obtained by the State of Texas against its client in Patrick R. Cox v State of Texas, No. 07-12-00453-CV. The Attorney General sued several corporate entities as well as Mr. Cox pursuant to the Deceptive Trade Practice Act alleging numerous DTPA violations relating to the provision of tax resolution services. The Amarillo Court of Appeals reversed and rendered the judgment against Mr. Cox, individually, finding there was no evidence to support the theories submitted to the jury.
