EEOC Sets Deadline for Reporting 2019 and 2020 EEO-1 Data
After pausing the EEO-1 reporting process during 2020, the EEOC has recently announced that on April 26, 2021, it will open its EEO-1 portal for employers’ submission of data from both 2019 and 2020. The deadline for the submission of the 2019 and 2020 data is July 19, 2021.
EEO-1 reports are generally required for all employers with 100 employees or more and for most federal contractors with 50 or more employees. Component 1 of the EEO-1 report requires information regarding the number of employees in each EEOC-defined job category, along with the gender and race/ethnicity of the employees. Multi-establishment employers have additional requirements. The Component 2 data regarding pay and hours worked that was collected by the EEOC for 2017 and 2018 is not required to be submitted for 2019 or 2020.
