Firm’s COVID-19 Readiness Statement
March 19, 2020
To the clients and friends of Sprouse Shrader Smith,
I am sure that we are not alone in watching the impacts of COVID-19 on people, travel, sporting events and the markets across the globe and closer to home. Our primary concern is for the health and safety of Sprouse clients and team members. We want you to know that we are prepared to continue to provide legal services regardless of the circumstances.
We are responding to the threats posed in three ways. First, we are monitoring the situation. The Sprouse law firm has three offices and attorneys and professionals across the State of Texas. We are monitoring reports from local health authorities as well as the CDC, so we can take additional actions if such actions are necessary. Second, we are preparing. Currently, all of our attorneys have the ability to work remotely in the event of office or travel interruptions. We have already taken steps to improve performance of existing information technology systems due to the potential for increased demand on our systems. In addition, we are educating Sprouse team members regarding COVID-19 and encouraging them to follow CDC recommendations for personal hygiene and protection. We are also requiring team members to stay home if they have symptoms of cold and flu. Third, we are planning. We are planning for additional upgrades to our information technology systems and applications to provide more robust remote computer performance and to provide additional staff with the ability to work from home. We are also planning what we will do in the event that a team member is diagnosed with COVID-19.
Sprouse attorneys and professionals will be available to provide any assistance you may need regardless of whether the need is caused by COVID-19 or the general press of business. Please let us know how we can serve you.
Sincerely,
Christopher L. Jensen
