Administrative Support Inter – Amarillo Office

This position supports the general firm workflow, by providing behind the scenes support to both the legal teams and the administrative team, to ensure the delivery of quality legal services to the firm’s clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Filing, copying and scanning legal documents for record retention purposes
  • Front desk support – greeting clients and answering phone
  • Running errands for the firm
  • Maintaining the break room: stocking, cleaning and organizing
  • Witnessing documents when asked
  • Willingness to accept tasks from others

Legal Assistant – Austin Office

Sprouse Shrader Smith, a distinguished, experienced and respected full-service law firm in Amarillo, Austin and Victoria Texas, seeks an experienced and qualified legal assistant to provide support to our Austin Attorneys in the legal area of Real Estate, Transactional and Wealth Management and Estate Planning.  The position will be filled at our Austin, (Westlake) office, located at 805 Las Cimas Parkway, Austin Texas 78749

Position Summary:

This position supports the delivery of quality legal services to clients by providing administrative assistance and support to attorneys, working collaboratively and cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ability to draft client correspondence
  • Possess a high level of awareness and diligently protects confidential information.
  • Reviews and follows up on client deadlines and calendar appointments.
  • Coordinates and arranges meetings.
  • Effectively proofreads documents.
  • Consistently completes assigned tasks as expected.
  • Willingly assists others.
  • Coordinates monthly billing to clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft word

Litigation Paralegal – Amarillo Office

Sprouse Shrader Smith, PLLC a distinguished, experienced and respected full-service law firm in Amarillo, Austin and Victoria Texas, seeks an experienced and qualified civil litigation paralegal to provide support to our Amarillo Litigation Team and Clients.

Position Summary:

This position supports the delivery of quality legal services to our clients by providing litigation paralegal services to our attorneys, working collaboratively and cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare initial drafts of written discovery, pleadings, and motions.
  • Prepare table of contents and table of authorities for briefings
  • Maintain trial calendaring schedules and deadlines
  • Filing and maintenance of paper and electronic files.
  • E-filing in federal, state and appellate courts.
  • Preparation of case, deposition, hearing, and trial notebooks and exhibits.
  • Perform legal research using Lexis and social media platforms
  • Schedule mediations, depositions, schedule court reporters/videographer, Zoom, and conference calls, etc.
  • Draft, prepare and send discovery to all parties per the attorney’s direction.
  • Prepare documents for production including organizing and Bates numbering

  • Paralegal certification a plus
  • Experience with CaseMap Suite and/or other database and trial presentation software a plus
