Reno Invited to ABOTA
Mrs. Lee Ann Reno, Member of Sprouse Shrader Smith, has been invited to be a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). All memberships are by invitation only and require the highest standard of character and professionalism. This national organization of trial lawyers and judges works to preserve and promote civil jury trial rights provided by the Seventh Amendment. ABOTA sponsors and provides education to its members and to the bar as a whole. From time to time, ABOTA members hold seminars for young lawyers to teach courtroom advocacy skills, and to impress on these lawyers the importance of jury trials in the unique American system of justice. ABOTA also provides a forum where its members can comment on matters of common concern involving the legal profession. Importantly, ABOTA engages in activities designed to elevate the standards of civility and integrity in the law profession, recognizing that civil litigation should be just that—civil. ABOTA has regional and state chapters that work to educate the public on the importance of preserving the Seventh Amendment and serve as an information center.
