Joel R. Hogue is a Member of Sprouse Shrader Smith PLLC. He is licensed in Texas and Oklahoma and has been admitted pro hac vice to practice in numerous state and federal courts around the country.
Joel focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation, including oil and gas, agriculture, banking, and other business-related disputes. He has successfully tried cases in state and federal courts in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico, and cases that were concluded by settlement or motion practice in other jurisdictions, such as Nevada, West Virginia, California, Kansas, New York, and Alabama.
Joel’s oil and gas litigation experience includes a multitude of issues, including lease termination, oil field pipe failures, royalty disputes, fracture (frack) treatments, adverse possession, surface damages, drilling contracts, and production disputes.
Joel also has substantial banking litigation experience. He has represented lenders in the collection of defaulted loans as well as federal agencies in the pursuit of professional liability claims involving failed financial institutions. Joel’s professional liability experience includes claims against accountants, attorneys, directors and officers, and appraisers.
Agriculture litigation has led Joel to handle cases involving grain elevators, livestock fraud, and crop-related disputes.
